Time to Assess Accreditation Review and Time Baseline

The Organisation

Te Kāhui Kāhu is a business unit within the Ministry of Social Development who undertake accreditation assessments for up to 2,000 social service organisations seeking accreditation across the country. The organisations range from out of school care and recreation (OSCAR) organisations to adult literacy programmes.

The Challenge

Te Kāhui Kāhu needed a clear understanding of how long its accreditation assessments took, why timelines varied, and where improvements could be made. Leadership sought a trusted partner to deliver accurate process insights, identify improvement opportunities, and provide a robust evidence base for change.
